What are slats?
Roughly speaking, Slats are usually made of long, square wood.
For classification: Typically, a batten is thinner than a beam, but thicker than a strip and narrower than a board.
Whether roof batten, fence batten or counter batten: The purpose makes the difference here – you will find out more about this below: under Purposes of the battens.
In terms of product safety and sustainability, GELO is also certified multiple times!

GELo slats
GELO slats are available in three different cuts: In addition to “normal” battens, e.g. for fences, there are also roof battens and counter battens.
All slats are available in packages, bundled with 6, 8 or 10 pieces. Since May 2007 we have been CE certified and are externally monitored by MPA Stuttgart. Your battens can therefore be provided with a CE stamp on request!
Thanks most modern Production facilities and the integration of many finishing methods, we at GELO can fulfill many of our customers' special requests - all in the best and exceptional GELO quality, directly from the Fichtelgebirge!

Differences in slats
The intended use makes the difference – Whether used as a fence batten, roof batten, counter batten or even as a shelf batten, the production and sorting differ.
