Topping-out ceremony of the most efficient sawmill in Europe – GELO Timber

“If not now, when?!” – Our highlight of 2020 was the topping-out ceremony for our new sawmill GELO Timber. The new site has now started operations. Time to look back!

Together with numerous guests, including Member of Parliament Martin Schöffel, District Administrator Peter Berek, Mayor Nikolas Lahovnik, his predecessor Karl-Willi Beck and of course our GELO family, we completed our shell according to old tradition.

Many thanks to the representatives from politics, press and media who celebrated this historic day with us!

We are extremely proud to be able to invest even in times of Corona and thus give our Fichtelgebirge region new jobs and innovation for tomorrow!

Notary Dr. Roßner, who accompanied us throughout the months and in the WUN project, recently said to us: “You and your team could have completed the airport in Berlin years ago!”
You can't really get more recognition and respect from a neutral third party. But this praise for an exceptionally outstanding performance goes first and foremost to Sergej Fink for his tireless efforts on the construction site for the new GELO Timber sawmill in Holenbrunn.
