How does KVH achieve its dimensional accuracy?
As heart-separated wood or even heart-free sawn wood, KVH is dimensionally stable. The dimensional accuracy is adjusted to size by calibration, ie by light planing after drying.
What are the properties of KVH?
KVH is a higher quality class. KVH-Si is offered for the visible area and KVH–NSi for the non-visible area. Compared to classic sawn timber, KVH has clear advantages when it comes to dimensional stability, dryness and short-term availability of large lengths.
What is the difference between KVH Si and KVH NSi?
KVH is offered as construction timber for visible areas as well as non-visible areas. KVH-Si stands for KVH-visible. This is planed and offered with bevelled edges on all sides. NSi, on the other hand, stands for "non-visible". In other words: KVH-NSi can be used for non-visible areas.
